    Alpha Psi Omega
    alphapsiomega.org

Alpha Psi Omega is a national honorary dramatics fraternity that recognizes the collective body of student achievement.  Entering freshmen are not eligible, as high school work is not used as a criterion, unless the student has amassed a body of community and professional work prior to entering the University. All students should aspire to gain membership in this prestigious fraternity. Alpha Psi Omega sponsors activities throughout the year, including the year-end Alpha Psi Omega Awards, which honors nominated student actors and technicians.

    Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC)
    setc.org

SETC is the largest theatre organization in the country. The main conference is held the first week in March where over 3000 people come to audition or interview for summer and full time employment, network, exhibit and compete, or attend workshops. At the smaller fall conference in September, actors can audition for graduate programs where universities and conservatories will have representatives. SETC divisions include Theatre for Youth, Secondary, College and University, Professional, and Religious Drama. In the C and U Division, actors seeking performance only employment must first pass the state screening auditions in the fall.  Technicians interview for employment in March and do not have a earlier screening process. There are many opportunities for summer and full time work  and we encourage our students to begin their SETC involvements in their freshman year.
