Adena Moree is a graduate of Troy University (B.A.) and completed her MFA in Directing at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is the Director of Theatre & Associate Professor at Troy. Three shows she has directed, Two Rooms, Antigone & A Midsummer Night’s Dream went to the regional Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Since coming to Troy in 1998, she has directed over 21 productions. She was recently the President of the Alabama Conference of Theatre in 2006.

John Patton received his B. A. in Speech and Drama from the University of Arkansas and his M.F.A. in Costume Design from the University of California, Irvine. He has been the resident costume designer at Troy University since 1998. Before coming to Troy, he spent over 20 years working in Los Angeles as a costumer, wardrobe master, wardrobe supervisor, and costume designer. In 1985 he received an Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for No Greater Gift, an ABC Afternoon Special. Since working at Troy, he has received the Lois Garren Award for Excellence in Costume Design from the Alabama Conference of Theatre and The Alabama State American College Theatre Festival, for The Guys, which was produced in 2004 at Troy University.

Chris Rich is Technical Director and Designer for Troy University. His design work has received national recognition in lighting and sound and regional recognition for scene design from KC/ACTF. Within the Southeastern Theatre Conference, Chris is fortunate to chair the Keynote Emerging Artist of Promise Award and work with the future of theatre. Chris is the President of the Alabama Conference of Theatre for 2008 and joins the Board of Directors of SETC in March of 2008 as treasurer.

Alexander Stephano has acted, written, choreographed stage-combat, produced or directed over 80 productions. He has worked on regional play premieres by Pulitzer winning playwrights Suzan Lori Parks and John Patrick Shanley, and has collaborated on productions that had Oscar winners Linda Hunt and Kathy Bates in there casts. Mr. Stephano has directed in New York, regionally, internationally and his productions have been nominated for more then 15 awards. He is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (BFA), the University of North Carolina’s Professional Actor Training Program (MFA) and is a member of the Director Guild of America, Actors Equity Association, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and is associate members of Inverse Theater Company and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.

Mike Schafer received his Masters of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Design & Technology from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and his Bachelors degree in Theatre from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Prior to coming to Troy University, he was actively involved in theatre both in the Chicago area and the Quad Cities area working as a Technical Director, Scenic Designer and Lighting Designer. As a Technical Director, Mike has worked on numerous shows including Northern Illinois University productions of Yerma, War and Peace, The 2005 Fall Dance Concert, Far Away and Santaland Diaries and Season’s Greetings. He also recently served as Technical Director for SummerNITE Theatre productions of Leaves from a Fairy Book and Hungarian playwright, Andras Visky’s English Language Premiere of Juliet: A Dialogue about Love which is currently touring across the United States and Europe. His most recent design work has been seen in Northern Illinois University’s production of Time to Burn,St. Ambrose University’s production of Pippi Longstocking and Aladdin and Countryside Community Theatre’s production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. In addition to theatre, Mike has worked with the Davenport Community School District in Iowa as a Para-Educator for children with special needs; working with preschool to third grade students who are physically, emotionally or intellectually challenged.


Tanya Searle

Tanya Searle is in her 10th season as a stage manager at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery. At ASF she has stage managed more than 30 shows, including Crowns, Romeo & Juliet, Troilus & Cressida, King Lear, Arcadia, A Christmas Carol, Guys & Dolls, Fair and Tender Ladies and Much Ado About Nothing. In 2005 Tanya took some time away from ASF to serve as a Production Manager at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts in Naples, FL where she worked with such noted artists as Renee Fleming, Itzhak Perlman, Lily Tomlin, Susan Egan and Paul Anka. She has also worked at the Atlanta Ballet, Houston Grand Opera and the Utah Shakespearean Festival. Tanya is a graduate of the UA/ASF Stage Management program and is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers.
