    THEATRE auditions

    Actors only—
    contrasting monologues; total of 2 minutes

    Musical Theatre—
    Add a ballad and up tempo song (preferably from musical theatre) Bring music marked and in appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided 16 measures or 1 minute each; Bring clothing for movement audition

    Technicians/Designers—
    Portfolio materials; 5 minute presentation

    Auditionees are encouraged to showcase in all areas that apply to them. Strong vocalists are encouraged to audition in the Long School of Music for performance ensembles that could carry smaller scholarship awards.


    Prior to the audition send in:

    - Audition Information Form
    - Two letters of recommendation
    - Resume
    - Headshot or photo
    - Transcript-unofficial is acceptable
    - One page personal statement about choosing this major and commitment to study


  • TROY DANCE REPERTORY ENSEMBLE auditions

    Selected by audition either on campus or in a performance in your area, this highly select ensemble dances from all genres and styles as part of our University Dance Company.

    Prior to the audition send in:

    - Audition Information Form
    - Transcript-unofficial copy is acceptable
    - 5X7 Photo TENDU a la SECONDE
    - 5X7 Photo First Arabesque
    - Contemporary Action Shot


  • MUSICAL THEATRE ENSEMBLE

    Selected during scholarship auditions and/or through GENERAL AUDITIONS in the Fall. MTE is an elite performance group with studio for development of professional craft.

  • CLASSICAL ENSEMBLE

    Selected by audition during scholarship auditions and/or through GENERAL AUDITIONS in the Fall; Acting group focused on classical works from Shakespeare, the Greeks, Moliere, and others.

  • PIED PIPER ENSEMBLE

    Selected from entering theatre majors (freshmen and transfers); Improvisational children’s theatre tour group. A 35 year tradition!

    Leadership:

    3.0 GPA, 22  ACT, or 1030 SAT
    Amounts vary; Awarded through interview process;
    January 15 deadline of student’s senior year

    Academic:

    MILLENIUM - 3.7 GPA, 31 ACT, or 1380 SAT or National Merit Finalist  
                         4 years - Full Tuition, Room, and Board

    CHANCELLOR’S - 3.5 GPA, 27  ACT or 1220  SAT
                               4 years-Full Tuition

    Must be from out of state; Amounts vary; March 1 deadline


    Best area scores in all ACT/SAT attempts are taken.
